PS4 & Xbox One Go Head-to-Head

PS4 & Xbox One Go Head-to-Head

Choosing between the Xbox One and the PS4 is tough. Since both consoles have just been released there aren’t that many app’s, games, and upgrades that would unleash the true potential of these consoles.

Reviewing the Latest Xbox & PlayStation

PlayStation and Xbox have been on many head-to-head battles in the past few years. These two brands clash again with the PS4 and the Xbox One. Here are a few things that you need to know about each one:

The PS4 has an impressive design that rises above the Xbox. It is smaller and compact because the power supply is already integrated into the console. The Xbox still uses an external power supply like the Xbox 360. The external power supply takes too much space and is just an added weight. The PlayStation 4 also has an excellent controller. It has a built-in rechargeable battery that can be recharged when the controller is in standby mode. The controller also functions as a motion controller, speaker, headphone jack, and also comes with a share button whenever a user wants to share game photos through social media.

The user-interface of both consoles was an improvement to their predecessors. The PlayStation 4 allows users to multi-task and also incorporates a unique broadcasting hub. The Xbox has integrated Kinect technology and voice commands for its gamers. The voice command is a neat addition, but there are times when the voice command is unable to get through leading to many frustrating moments while playing.

There are only a few notable games that are on the market today for both consoles. The PS4 has NBA 2K14 and FIFA ’14. The Xbox has Dead Rising 3 and Forza Motorsport 5 to its name. Both consoles lack backward compatibility with games coming from their respective predecessors. Gamers who like to play their PS3 and Xbox 360 games will take this badly.

The Xbox easily outpaces the PS4 when it comes to living room gaming experience. The Xbox provides gamers with the overall experience with streaming, gaming, and TV. The Kinect and motion sensor add spark to the Xbox’s unique and futuristic gaming experience. The PlayStation offers users the PS Vita remote play for gamers. The console also offers game broadcasting and clip sharing through the social media share button.

The PlayStation offers better overall performance over the Xbox. The PlayStation has an easier to use control and navigation system compared to the Xbox. The Xbox’s voice command seems like a neat feature to have, but it tests the limits of a gamer’s patience because it is unresponsive at times. Both consoles’ graphics is virtually the same. The graphics of games and the detail are impressive for both. Gaming experience has been taken to a whole new level with the release of these two consoles from two powerhouses in the gaming industry.

In terms of value for money, the PlayStation 4 is in the lead. The PlayStation 4 is $100 cheaper compared to the latest offering from Microsoft. It does not help that the Xbox has an additional $60 on its price tag because of the necessary annual membership fee to use the console.

Overall, the PlayStation 4 edges out the Xbox in a slew of categories, but it is only the beginning. Expect new games, apps, and upgrades over the next few months. If you are looking for cables to go with your new console check out www.proaudiovisual.com.au/hdmi-cable
